MANUAL
HANDLING

Manual Handling involves any transporting or supporting of any load by one or more employees, and includes lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving a load, which by reason of its characteristics or unfavourable ergonomic conditions, involves risk, particularly of back injury, to employees.



WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Our course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations. The aim of this course is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and attitude to be able to perform manual handling tasks correctly and safely. The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, (General Applications) Regulations 2007, Chapter 4 of Part 2, outline the requirements that must be adhered to in relation to manual handling.

Course duration: 3 hours



CERTIFICATION

On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with fully compliant Manual Handling Training Certificate which will be valid for 3 years (subject to successful theory and practical assessment). All our Trainers are Qualified QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructors (Qaulifications achieved by completing Award 6N0233 Instructing Manual Handling).
